Early primates not only lived in North America -- our primate family tree actually originated here! So what happened to those early relatives of ours?

I'm starting to think all animals originated in North America.

I dont get rafting as a common method wouldnt you have to have atleast 1 male and 1 female that sexually mature and happen to land in a livable habitat. Then because of this, the founder effet, there should be one species you could track back to that it is more related too than any other right and wouldnt all the descendants of the rafted couple even with new speciation would be quite similar?

Horses, camels, and now primates? Why does almost all animals that originate in North America have no living species native to there? (I personally don't count the primates from Central America and Mexico as North American primates)

What about the one primate fossil found in Texas dated 55 million yeas ago. Could those primates have gone South to South America rather than West from Africa. How close are their genes? It certainly seems a really round about trip, being that primates either evolved in North America 66 million years ago, then tripped into Asia, then Africa, then back into Madasgar and India then back into Asia and then into Africa again. Amazing if that happened. Moreso, PBS Eons, I'd be so pleased if you could read this comment and frankly, I'd like it if you might provide an explanation?
Alec Ohare

Correction: The fossil primate discovered in Texas in 1967 was named Roonia, found and dated to 36 million years ago. Still doesn't change my question tho. Makes it even more interesting?

I don’t want you to put too fine a point on it but “Central America” is a geopolitical term. The two continents that make up The Americas are: The North American Continent, and the South American Continent. Both have non human primates.

So we have plentiful and continuous bear fossils to the present and no primate fossils for millions of years, and no Gigantopithicus fossils ever. Best argument against Sasquatch to date. Thor Heyerdahl demonstrated the plausibility of ocean rafting with both the Ra Expedition and the Kon Tiki Expedition. The biota of Madagascar and the Galapagos Islands are both best explained by rafting also. Life just "get er done".

I was thinking.... Its possible that like the fruit spreading through poop the teeth could have been undigested excrement of a bird or marine species. If this was the case what other evidence is there that the ekgmowechashala was native to North America at all? Is it not possible that the discovery of limited remains in an area does not conclusively mean that species was native to that area?

"How did they get across the ocean ....maybe they rafted there". Ya or maybe your dating isn't accurate and they were actually there the whole time, you just didn't didn't find any fossils from that time line or your theories about ocean levels and continental separation are just plain incorrect.
